In the Sheffield Pattern Club, we’ve been avoiding social media for a while, focussing on our email newsletter instead. This has gone well, we can now organise a workshop or small gig and let everyone know with a quick email – low stress!
We have had a mastodon account as well, but have been rubbish at keeping it up to date, so are going to stop using it. However, you can still follow us on mastodon as patternclub@patternclub.org (search for it in your mastodon client) — this is a feed of posts on this very blog. If you’re only interested in goings on in Sheffield in particular, you can follow sheffield@patternclub.org instead (the main account will repost all the sheffield posts so no need to follow both).
